The first six years of an individual’s life are critical since development / growth of facilities of a child take place in this period at its most rapid pace. Hence Army Pre Primary School were established as Shaurya Army Pre School as welfare measure for providing good quality and easily accessible Early Childhood Education (ECE) of children of Army personnel residing in Cantonments / Military Stations in and around Dighi Camp, Pune.


  • The Bombay Sappers Army Pre Primary School (BSAPPS) came into existence in 1980. It was named back then as Balak Mandir which included classes from LKG to UKG.
  • In the year 1997, the school was renamed to Bombay Sappers Army Public School and was upgraded till Std. V
  • In April 2009, the school was delinked and was named as Shaurya Army Pre School Dighi
  • In the year 2012, school was again renamed as BOMBAY SAPPERS ARMY PRE PRIMARY SCHOOL Dighi as per the guidelines issued by AWES (Army Welfare Education Society)
